3 Easy Ways To Lose Weight, Look Younger & Boost Health

The world we live in today — with its chemicals, toxins and processed foods — is taking a toll on our health and how we look. In the last 50 years we've seen the rise of genetically modified foods and toxins, our soil depleted of its nutrients, and the degradation of the standard American diet. These factors have created a perfect storm, increasing free radical production and systemic inflammation, which leads to accelerated aging and chronic disease.

There's no reason why we can not live 80 to 100 disease-free, healthy years! The Okinawa Study, for example, showed that older Okinawans are living 100 or more years practically disease free. Interestingly, the younger generations are developing the same chronic Western diseases that we see in our culture because they're adopting a lifestyle similar to our own.
Another study, called the Danish Twin Study, found that longevity is only moderately heritable — that is, determined by our genes. The major factor in how long we live is dictated by the lifestyle choices we choose to make.

Here are three things you will want to do to live the long, healthy, abundant life you were meant to live!

1. Start burst training.

Burst training, or high-intensity interval training (HIIT), naturally increases human growth hormone (HGH), which has strong anti-aging and fat-burning effects on the body!

There are different ways to do burst training, but here's the technique that I use:

Step 1: Warm up for 3-5 minutes.

Step 2: Run, bike, or swim 90 percent of your capacity for 30-60 seconds.

Step 3: Rest by slow jogging for 1-2 minutes.

Step 4: Repeat the sprint and rest between 3-7 times.

Do burst training every other day, because your anti-aging and fat-burning hormones are doing their work through the next day!

To boost your fat burning and anti-aging hormones to the highest level possible, consume foods that are high in complex carbohydrates and protein after your workout. Studies show waiting to eat 1 to 2 hours after workout enhances HGH naturally! Burst Training is quick, easy and it beats spending hours in the gym!

The Leading Cause Of Hypothyroidism & The 8 Tests Your Doctor Hasn't Run

In my last article, I showed six different patterns of hypothyroidism that don't show up on standard labs, and aren't sustainably helped by thyroid hormone replacement drugs. The scientific literature has suggested that the leading cause of low thyroid symptoms is an autoimmune condition called Hashimoto's disease. In this article I want to go over some of the underlying factors that need to be looked if you are faced with this autoimmune disease.

Hashimoto's disease, or autoimmune thyroiditis, isn't a new discovery. First mentioned in clinical literature in 1912, it was actually the first disease to be labeled as autoimmune. Your immune system is an intricate, sophisticated network that protects your body against potentially harmful viruses and bacteria. When your immune system mistakes your body as a harmful pathogen and attacks it, this is classified as an autoimmune response.

Hashimoto's can be diagnosed by running thyroid peroxidase antibodies (TPO Ab) and thyroglobulin antibodies (TGB Ab) tests. These tests aren't commonly administered because the treatment would be the same whether you have Hashimoto's or true primary hypothyroidism: thyroid hormone replacement drugs. Because the autoimmune response can go through active and dormant states, there is a chance for a false negative, which is why a comprehensive health history is essential.

Ninety percent of all hypothyroid cases in the United States are autoimmune in nature. Thyroid autoimmune diseases are the most common, affecting 7-8 percent of the population. Whether or not you have primary hypothyroidism, a thyroid hormone conversion dysfunction, or an autoimmune disease, a thyroid hormone replacement drug is the only option given in the mainstream model of care. The problem with Hashimoto's is that the thyroid isn't the actual source of the problem. The thyroid is the victim of the immune system.

Let's go over some of the pieces of the puzzle, the proverbial gasoline barrels on the fire that is the autoimmune thyroid response: Read Entire Article At MindBodyGreen

I Love Helping People Get Healthy!

I know the blog is not updated as much as it should be, my apologies! The reason is I am extremely busy helping people get healthy and regain their life back. In the Pittsburgh area, and across the country via phone and Skype consultations, I am honored to be able to make a positive impact in peoples lives.

Blogging in between patients right now, and I just got finished talking with a patient a few minutes ago. A few weeks ago he felt like he didn't want to live anymore. A long list of medications, overweight, depressed and sick. 2 weeks on his program (because there is no ONE program, they are designed for you) he was able to cut his medications in half, he lost 13 pounds, he feels great, has the energy he hasn't had in years, is sleeping better, thinking more clearly, and is not feeling depressed anymore!

Its not magic, it is just clinically investigating the underlying reasons why people are feeling the way they are feeling. Natural Science put into action! Learn more at www.drwillcole.com
