Anti-Aging 101: 3 Things You Need To Do To Stay Young And Healthy

Everywhere you look there is another "look young and sexy quick" product on the market. From magazines, television to shopping malls, there is another "Fountain of Youth In A Bottle" for you to buy. With the  supposed anti-aging pills, powders, potions and lotions it can be overwhelming to find out what is worth spending your money on and what is better left on the shelf.

The fact is, the world we live in today-with its chemicals, toxins, and processed foods - is taking a toll on our health and how we look. Since World War II, there have been more than 80,000 chemicals introduced to our lives, many of them shown to increase oxidative stress in our body. In that same time period we have seen the rise of foods made in laboratories, depleted of nutrients, increasing free radical production which leads to accelerated aging and chronic disease.
There are plenty of studies that have shown there is no reason why we can not live 80 to 100 disease-free, healthy years! The Okinawa Study, showed older Okinawans are living 100+ years practically disease free. Interestingly, the younger generations are developing the same chronic western diseases that we see, because they are adopting a lifestyle similar to our own.
Another study called the Danish Twin Study, found that less than 10 percent of how long we live is determined by our genes. More than 90 percent is dictated by the lifestyle choices we choose to make.
So Here are 3 things you will want to do to live the long, abundant life you were meant to live!
1) Try Burst Training
Burst, or High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT), has been shown to naturally increase Human Growth Hormone (HGH) which has strong anti-aging and fat burning effects on the body!
There are different ways to do Burst Training, but here is the technique that I use:
Step 1) Warm up for 3-5 minutes
Step 2) Run, Bike, or Swim 90 percent of your capacity for 30- 60 seconds
Step 3) Rest by slow jogging for 1-2 minutes
Step 4) Repeat the sprint and rest between 3-7 times
Do Burst Training every other day because your anti aging and fat burning hormones are doing their work through the next day!
To get HGH to the highest level possible, consume foods that are high in complex carbohydrates and protein after your workout. Studies show waiting to eat 1 to 2 hours after workout enhances HGH naturally! Burst Training is quick, easy and it beats spending hours in the gym!
2) Increase Your Glutathione Levels
Glutathione is a powerful antioxidant that our bodies need to stay young and healthy, but its estimated that over 80% of the population has glutathione depletion. Low levels of glutathione has been linked to chronic conditions such as Alzheimer's, Heart Disease Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Diabetes, and Accelerated Aging.
There is no anti-oxidant on earth that has a higher anti-oxidant score (ORAC score) than glutathione. To put it in perspective, blueberries have an ORAC score of 3000, dark chocolate has an ORAC score of 13,000 and Acai berries a score of 18,000. Supplements and foods that detox the body and raise glutathione naturally have an ORAC scores as high as 192,000!
Some of the top foods that can support the healthy glutathione levels are
  • Avocado
  • Asparagus
  • Broccoli
  • Garlic
  • Grapefruit
  • Eggs
  • Spinach
  • Tomatoes
  • Curcumin found in Tumeric
  •  Grass Fed Beef
3 Avoid Refined Sugars and Processed Grains
This is the hardest step for most people, partly because sugar is so addicting, but it is essential to reversing the aging process. Wheat, white rice, and foods with refined sugar all increase your insulin levels which will lead to premature aging, inflammation and chronic disease.
Try these great alternatives to try so you can look and feel your best:
  •  Coconut flour
  • Almond flour
  • Quinoa
  • Buckwheat
  • Wild Rice
